PLAN B UPDATE
With the Government announcing yesterday that the Country will be moving to ‘Plan B’ of their COVID-19 Guidance, Indoor Bowls Clubs will now need to implement the following protocols.
From Friday 10th December 2021 face coverings will be legally required to be worn by your members, visitors and staff, who have face to face contact with the public, when they enter and move around the venue. The face covering can be removed when they are on the green playing and when having a drink and or meal. Please also be aware some of your members / visitors due to age, health or disability reasons are exempt from wearing face coverings. Whilst the majority will want to show an exemption card it is not a legal requirement to do so. In addition, if any of your members / staff live with or have been in contact with someone who has been identified as a suspected or confirmed case of the Omicron variant they must self-isolate for 10 days, even if they have been double or triple vaccinated.
Finally, if you have any members of staff who can work from home, then you are encouraged to arrange this from Monday 13th December 2021.
These directives will remain in place for the next six weeks, but the Government will review after three weeks and update on the next steps.
If you wish to discuss and or need further information, please contact the Office on 01664 481900 or email email@example.com

Jenny Hopkins is still very short of ladies to play in the leagues. Any one lady interested should contact her on 550980.
The Friday Pairs (now has full 11 teams) will be from 18-30 to 20-30
Any mixed game only has to have one lady playing in the team
THE CLUB WILL REOPEN FOR THE WINTER SEASON ON SATURDAY 18th September.
Leagues will start on Monday 20th.
As everyone is probably aware Covid has taken its toll on members rejoining and entering teams in the leagues. At a recent meeting, due to the poor uptake on the Wednesday and Friday mixed fours leagues it is with regret the decision was taken to cancel those two leagues.
This does not mean it is the end, once the club is fully open and people start putting names on the subs sheets those leagues could be revived if enough people are interested.
Moving on, the decision was also taken to allow ladies to be a named member or substitute in ANY of the leagues. This is to try and compensate for the poor uptake.
This decision will be reviewed before the start of the 22/23 season.
ANYONE INTERESTED IN ENTERING A TEAM
should contact Graham on firstname.lastname@example.org or 07747825916.
All the membership renewal forms along with the league sheets were posted on
Thursday 5th so should reach members very soon.
All fees will be the same as last season.
The summer bowls opening has been a success and hopefully will continue to grow.
The ladies leagues are also short of players anyone interested should contact Jenny Hopkins on 01803 550980.
Many people are worried about conditions inside the club,I can only reiterate now that we have the new units installed the airflow is far better than what the guidelines issued by the Government and EIBA advisors say it should be for indoor sports arenas. Hand sanitizers will still be available at various points around the club.
Look forward to seeing people in September
